TOS User synchronization

TOS USER SYNCHRONIZATION

The purpose of this operation is to bring all user log-in information from the TOS environment (Transics Office Suite) to the TX-CONNECT environment.

The TOS password is not copied in TX-CONNECT. Therefore, a default password to log in to TX-CONNECT is provided for TOS users.

Users who are NOT yet known in the TX-CONNECT environment get a default password, in order to be able to synchronize.

Scheme

HOW TO SYNCHRONIZE?

Go to Settings - Management - TOS synchronization (this setting is only visible for the administrator).

STEP1

First synchronization:

1. Log in as administrator.

2. Go to Settings - Management - TOS synchronization (only visible for the administrator).

3. Determine a default password for your company and enter it in the appropriate field. (See fig.) Remark: This password may maximum contain 7 characters.

4. Click Synchronize (See fig.).

STEP 2

You will get a message box to confirm the synchronization process.

STEP 3

Click Yes to continue.

If the synchronization was successful, you will get the following message:

Successful synchronization. Please inform the users with the 'Default password' that they can now log in to TX-CONNECT with their user code and password 'xxxx'.

The next time a user logs in, he has to log in with the existing user code and the provided default password.

STEP 4

Click OK. You will see a list of all users who are now in TX-CONNECT.

Column "Active"	Here you can indicate if a user is active or not.
Column "Default password"	This column indicates the status of the dispatcher's password. It can either be default (checkbox ticked) or custom (checkbox not ticked).

If the synchronization failed, you will get the following type of message:

HOW TO UPDATE THE DEFAULT PASSWORD?

The administrator can decide to update the default password at any time. However, he should always inform the users (with the default password ticked) of the new password.

Click Update. All users with the current default passwords will be updated.

Again, you will get a confirmation screen first.

Click Yes to confirm the password.

If you filled in the same password as the previous time, you will get the following message:

You can't synchronize while you are editing the password. You must finish the editing process first.

Restrictions for entering a new password.

The new password may not be equal to a login of one of the users in TX-CONNECT. The following message will appear when this condition is not fulfilled.

You can only use lower cases - capitals - numbers and underscores.

Passwords must contain minimum 6 to 7 characters. Otherwise, you will get this message:
